Terms and conditions of use

UniSA Global Alumni Connect is an online platform provided free of charge for alumni of the University of South Australia and the antecedent institutions with which it has merged.

All potential users will be verified against our current alumni records during the registration process, before being granted full access to the site. Membership of the site is entirely at the discretion of the Advancement Services Unit. 

The University of South Australia reserves the right to refuse access to anyone who misuses the site in any way including those listed below, and to delete frivolous updates to individual profiles.


It is the responsibility of each registered user:

To protect against unauthorised access to their individual username and password;

To ensure against use by anyone else of UniSA Global Alumni Connect through the machine that the registered user uses while they are logged on to the platform;

To log off or exit from UniSA Global Alumni Connect when not using it; 

To ensure that they do not introduce any virus into UniSA Global Alumni Connect;

Not to post any data on UniSA Global Alumni Connect which is explicit, abusive or likely to cause offence; and 

Not to post any data on UniSA Global Alumni Connect which is unlawful or inflammatory or which infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party.


We reserve the right:

To suspend or terminate any registered user’s access to UniSA Global Alumni Connect, or parts of it;

To edit, or require the registered user to edit, material posted on UniSA Global Alumni Connect, if material posted by the user appears to us to be in breach of any provision of these terms and conditions; 

To monitor and remove any data from UiniSA Global Alumni Connect where the University believes it is contrary or in breach of these terms and conditions; and 

To provide any information or data concerning a registered user’s operation of UniSA Global Alumni Connect to any appropriate authority or law enforcement agency where it is in the interests of the University to do so or where the law requires the University to do so.

Any person whose access has been suspended or terminated will not be permitted to re-register for, or re-access, UniSA Global Alumni Connect without prior consent from the University. The registered user is responsible for the accuracy and suitability of all content submitted to or processed by the UniSA Global Alumni Connect, while logged on to UniSA Global Alumni Connect.

Registered users acknowledge that the University cannot monitor all material which appears on UniSA Global Alumni Connect, and that the University is reliant upon all users to notify it of anything which appears likely to breach these Terms and Conditions.  Any user encountering content on UniSA Global Alumni Connect which appears to infringe these Terms and Conditions should contact the Advancement Services Unit at alumni@unisa.edu.au.


Offensive content

The University of South Australia reserves the right to remove any content from the site at any time without giving a reason.  We will consider carefully all requests to remove any content that a member of the site or any other person has asked us to remove.  Where we find it has the potential to cause offence, or is not factually correct, or inappropriate in some other way, we will remove the content within three working days from notification.

We will regularly monitor the site for any potentially inappropriate and offensive material.  The decision of the Advancement Services Unit is final.


Online directory

UniSA Global Alumni Connect includes a searchable online alumni directory.  The University will list all graduates’ names, years of graduation and primary subject of study in the online directories. 

You can choose to make your contact details available to other alumni, and they to you. Please treat this information with respect. Anyone found to be contacting alumni for any purpose other than friendship and/or networking within the alumni community, i.e. spam, junk mail, or soliciting business, will be removed from the site and their access terminated. The deliberate sending of emails infected with a virus or other malicious attachments is forbidden.


UniSA education details in the ‘Personal Profile' section

Each users Personal Profile is pre-populated with their primary subject of study at the University of South Australia, or an antecedent institution.  This information should not be changed as it is legal data provided by the University of South Australia in relation to your study with us. If you believe your information is incorrect (year of graduation, qualification, subject of study), please contact the Advancement Services Unit by emailing alumni@unisa.edu.au.  

A print out of information on this site does not qualify as official evidence of your degree award. To obtain a replacement degree certificate, please contact the Advancement Services Unit by emailing alumni@unisa.edu.au.
